The state of Nagaland lies in the far North-eastern region of India and has a small population. Known for its pleasant climate, rich heritage and friendly people i.e. the Nagas or Hill men. The state abounds with natural beauty and simplicity. There are more than 16 tribes settled in the region following their own dialects, tradition and culture. It is surrounded by Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar and Manipur.The pride of Nagaland is Mount Saramati the highest mountain peak on the Nagaland and Burma border. The mountainous region offers a natural barrier between Burma and Nagaland. The rains fondly drench the flora and fauna in the region keeping the temperature between 15 and 30 degree Celsius. Nagaland is famous for its festivals all year round viz. the Sekrenyi Festival, Moatsu Festival, Hornbill Festival and many more makes visit to Nagaland truly delightful & amazing.

Hornbill Festival:

One of the biggest draws of Nagaland is the "Hornbill Festival", held each year in the first week of December at Kohima, & it is also known as the "Festival of Festivals". The festival brings forth an assemblage of a variety & a mixed bag of cultural & ethnic displays that bring the real color of the ethnic tribes residing in Nagaland.

Tribal Life Experience:

The "Nagas" is an amalgamation of several different tribes of people inhabiting the northeastern part of India. The mos diversified group of tribes, the Naga people can be segregated based on their dialect & way of life due to successive migrations happening from the early half of the 19th century. A visit to Nagaland will be incomplete without setting out for a day to interact with the locals.
